Jonita McKinney (CEO/FOUNDER)
IMG_5132-EditJonita (Nita), a native of St. Louis, MO. Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a minor in Business Management. She is serving in the United States Army as a supply sergeant. Nita is married and have three wonderful children. God blessed me with the gift of dance and I accepted the call on my life in 2006. In September 2015 I founded Refining Fire-Atlanta, Inc. (RFA), a 501(c) (3) nonprofit mentoring organization based in Atlanta, GA. She is also the youth director at The Vision Church of Atlanta for ages 13-18.

Starr Butts (Vice President)
starrStarr Lockett Butts, born Starr Lockett, is a native of New Jersey and a graduate of Rutgers University. Starr has her bachelors degree in Social Work and has been working in Case Management for 5+ years. Starr was a foster child who through God has been guiding youth through the Georgia Foster Care System through her personal connection, knowledge of the field, and passion for helping and empowering the youth.

Antoinette Ross (Secretary)
Antoinette is a Certified Personal and Executive Coach.  Her  mission is to bring academic excellence into every community regardless of income and parental background. She works with non-profit organizations to develop enrichment programs that enable students to globally compete with the best minds in the world.

Antoinette has over 15 years of experience in corporate America with expertise in management, training, engagement, and coaching.  She has a degree in Journalism from Clark Atlanta University.

Sheryl Ferguson (Program Coordinator)
SheyShey Ferguson is  founder and CEO of S’Elite Management Group. She established the logistical assistance firm in 2010 to help coach business owners, entrepreneurs and solopreneurs on marketing their businesses.

Shey’s passion is mentoring youth and giving back to the community through outreach and evangelism. In 2009 she earned her bachelors at Liberty University, with a degree in English. With 16 years of experience with youth groups and departments, her passion for mentoring children and young adults has evolved into a way of living that can be passed down through the generations. Shey currently serves as the Director of Operations for the United Progressive Pentecostal Church. There, she submits herself under the anointed leadership of the Presiding Prelate Bishop O.C. Allen III.

Daketta Marshburn (Interim Treasurer)

Daketta

Affectionately known as “Pastor Daketta,” she is a native of Brooklyn, New York . Pastor Daketta received her undergraduate education from Spelman College in Atlanta , GA where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Philosophy. She relocated to St. Louis in 1993 and joined Higher Heights Christian Church in 1995.  Understanding her call to teach and continue her work in the non profit sector she received her Master of Arts degree from Southern Illinois University in Public Administration and Non Profit Management. Pastor Daketta’s gifts made room for her and she became a licensed minister and ordained elder under the leadership of Bishop Wyatt Greenlee Jr. where she was the valedictorian of the Green Pastures School of Ministry. Pastor Daketta was elevated and appointed as a Associate Pastor in 2008. God has also granted her favor in the secular arena where she has had the honor of serving on numerous boards and community programs.
